How To Unlock Blackberry:


 


WARNING:  If after you enter "meood" or "mepd" from the unlock instructions below and your "Enter Network MEP" box show less than 4 try left (default is 10 try left).  STOP, do not enter the unlock code.If you enter the wrong code and get to 0 try left, your Blackberry will be permanent locked. Therefore, with MEP Name, you are 100% sure that the unlock code is correct.


 


QUICK NOTE (Canada PHONES ONLY):  If you order a Canadian Locked Blackberry Provider. Please make sure you read this first. Some phones requires MEP2 (Network Unlock) while some require MEP4 (Service Provider).

BlackBerry OS 7 Instructions (i.e. 9900, 9930, 9810, and 9860)



  • Insert a non accepted sim card in your phone and turn it on.

  • You will be prompted to enter an unlock code (aka MEP2 Code).

  • Click Yes.

  • Enter the unlock code (MEP2) and press enter.

  • Phone is now UNLOCKED!


 


BlackBerry OS 6 Instructions (i.e. 9780 and 9800)



  • Method 1

  • Insert not accepted sim card in your phone and turn it on.

  • You will be prompted to enter an unlock code (aka MEP2 Code).

  • Click Yes

  • Enter the unlock code (MEP2) and press enter

  • Phone is now UNLOCKED!

  • Go to "Manage Connections" and turn Mobile network on.

  • Method 2

  • Go to Options -> Device

  • Select advanced system settings => and then Sim card

  • Type MEPD using your Blackberry keyboard (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing MEPD)

  • Type MEP then [ALT BUTTON] then 2 on your Blackberry keyboard (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing MEPD)

  • You should be presented with a prompt "Enter Network MEP Code". Type in the unlock code (MEP2) and press track pad to confirm.

  • Your phone is now unlocked!


 


 


Model:  6xxx 7xxx: Example; 6230, 7100, and 7290 etc.:


Before you start, you MUST take out the Sim Card & turn OFF ALL wireless radios


1.    Press the Menu key.


2.    Select Options / Settings.


3.    Select Sim Card.


4.    Enter MEPD (not case sensitive), Note: When typing in MEPD, the letters will not appear on the screen.


5.    Then enter MEP Hold Alt Key and type number 2.  NOTE: You must use the "alt" key to enable numbers, example: enter MEP hold "ALT key" and enter 2.  Note: When typing in MEP2, the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the "Enter Network MEP" box.  If you do not see "Enter Network MEP" box, you didn't type in MEP2 properly.


 


Model:  7100, 8100, 8110, 8120 & 8220, 9100:


Before you start, you MUST have a Sim Card & turn OFF ALL wireless radios


1.    Press the Menu key.


2.    Scroll to Turn Wireless Off and press the trackball (Will show Turn Wireless ON).


3.    Scroll to Options and press the trackball.


4.    Scroll to Advanced Options and press the trackball.


5.    Scroll to SIM Card and press the trackball.


6.    Type MEOOD (not case sensitive). This step opens up the personalization on the device.


7.    Type MEOO, then hold ALT key and type number 2.  Note: When typing in MEOO2 the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the "Enter Network MEP" box.


8.    Enter Unlock Code.


9.    Press the Enter Key. (Make sure you press the Enter Key within 5 second or you have to enter the unlock code again).



Model:  8700, 8700c, 8700g, 8700r


Before you start, you MUST have a Sim Card & turn OFF ALL wireless radios


1.    Press the Menu key.


2.    Scroll to and select Manage Connections. Select Turn All Connections Off.


3.    Press the red end key or the Escape key to go back to the Home screen.


4.    Scroll to and select the Setting icon.


5.    Scroll to Options.


6.    Scroll to and select Advanced Options.


7.    Scroll to and select SIM Card.


8.    Type MEPD Note: When typing in MEPD the letters will not appear on the screen. This step opens up the personalization on the device.


9.    Type MEP then hold "Alt" key and type number 2. Note: When typing in MEP and hold "Alt" key and 2; the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the "Enter Network MEP" box.


10.  Enter the unlock code.


11 .Press the Joydial to confirm ("Code Accepted should display)


12.  Press and hold the red End key to turn the handheld off and then back on.


13.  Once the device has powered on, follow steps 1 & 2 and restore connections.


 


Model: 8300, 8310, 8320, 8520, 8800, 8820, 8900, 9000, 9630, 9650, 9700, 9800


Before you start, you MUST have a Sim Card (could be Active or Inactive) & turn OFF ALL wireless radios


1.    Press the Menu key.


2.    Scroll to and select Manage Connections. Select Turn All Connections Off.


3.    Press the red end key or the Escape key to go back to the Home screen.


4.    Scroll to and select the Options icon.


5.    Scroll to and select Advanced Options.


6.    Scroll to and select SIM Card.


7.    Type MEPD Note: When typing in MEPD the letters will not appear on the screen. This step opens up the personalization on the device.


8.    Type MEP then hold "Alt" key and type number 2. Note: When typing in MEP and "Alt" and number 2; the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the "Enter Network MEP" box.


9.    Enter the unlock code.


10.  Press the trackball ("Code Accepted should display)


11.  Press and hold the red End key to turn the handset off and then back on.


12.  Once the device has powered on, follow steps 1 & 2 and restore connections.


 


Method 1: Model: 9500, 9530 Storm, 9550 Storm 2
Before you start, you MUST have an Unauthorized Sim Card inserted.  Unauthorized Sim Card is a Sim Card that is NOT belongs to the provider of the phone.  Example:  If you have a Verizon phone, you need to insert a T-Mobile Sim Card inside the phone before turn it on.


1.    Power on the phone.


2.    Phone will said "MEP check failed.  Do you want to enter MEP unlock code".  Select Yes.


3.    "Enter Network MEP code (# left)".  Enter the unlock code.


4.    Press Enter, you should see "Code Accepted"


5.    You need to check Network Connection is set on GSM/UMTS.  Menu>Manage Connection>Mobile Network Options and make sure it GSM/UMTS.


6.   Once GSM/UMTS is selected.  You can now ready to make phone call.


 


Notice:  If the network not working after your phone is fully charged and unlocking process "Code Accepted".  You must change from Verizon CDMA network to GSM Global Network a few times, after change from Verizon CDMA to GSM Global 3 times is completed, leaves it on GSM Global Network.  Now it should work. (Verizon 8830 World Edition DOES NOT work inUSA )



Method 2: Model: 8830, 9500, 9530 Storm, 9550 Storm 2
Before you start, you MUST have Sim Card inserted & turn OFF ALL wireless radios, turn the phone sideways so you get the full QWERTY keypad.


1.    Press the Menu key


2.    Scroll to and select Manage Connections. Select Turn All Connections Off.


3.    Press the red end key or the Escape key to go back to the Home screen.


4.    Scroll to and select the Options icon.


5.    Scroll to and select Advanced Options.


6.    Scroll to and select SIM Card.


7.    Type MEPD Note: When typing in MEPD the letters will not appear on the screen, this step open up the personalization on the device.


8.    Type MEP then hold "Alt" key and type number 2. Note: When typing in MEP "Alt" and number 2; the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the "Enter Network MEP" box.


9.    Enter the unlock code.


10.  Press Enter (Press the trackball for 8830), you should see "Code Accepted"


11.  Press and hold power key to turn the handset off and then back on.


12.  Once the device has powered on, follow steps 1 & 2 and restore connections.


 


Notice: If the network not working after your phone is fully charged and unlocking process "Code Accepted".  You must change from Verizon CDMA network to GSM Global Network a few times, after change from Verizon CDMA to GSM Global 3 times is completed, leaves it on GSM Global Network.  Now it should work. (Verizon 8830 World Edition DOES NOT work inUSA )

Model: For Telus & Bell Mobility, Some Fido model and all carrier that have Service Provider block (MEP4).


Sometime we send you two sets of Unlock Code, use the code as a set;


Example:MEP2:43237528-AND-MEP4:35848078ORMEP4:4371476728858074.


Set 1:MEP2:43237528-AND-MEP4:35848078.


Set 2:MEP4:4371476728858074.


DO NOT mix these two sets. Determine which option look similar to your phone and then follows the correct instructions. 


1.    If your Blackberry has only Network "Active", then chooseOption 1.  You ONLY need the MEP2 code we send you.


2.    If your Blackberry has both Network and Service Provider "Active", then chooseOption 2.  You need both the MEP2 and MEP4 code we send you.


3.    If your Blackberry has only Service Provider "Active", then chooseOption 3.  You ONLY need the MEP4 code we send you.

14.  Press and hold the red End key to turn the handset off and then back on.


15.  Once the device has powered on, follow steps 1 & 2 and restore connections.



Option 3: Before you start, you MUST have Sim Card inserted & turn OFF ALL wireless radios, turn the phone sideways so you get the full QWERTY keypad.

10.  Press Enter (Press the trackball for 8830),  you should see "Code Accepted"


11.  Press and hold power key to turn the handset off and then back on.


12.  Once the device has powered on, follow steps 1 & 2 and restore connections.
 


Here are the SPC/MSL CDMA Unlock Codes
MSL/SPC Code:  To use this code:


1.    From the home screen of the Blackberry, press the green call button to enter the phone.


2.    Type in ##MSL/SPC CODE then the green talk button (ie: ##123456 Green talk button).


3.    In the CDMA service edit screen, delete the number in the first row (000000xxxx) and replace it with your current phone number.


4.    Press the menu key and choose save.


5.   The device will re-boot. 


When the device re-boots, Activation Required will be gone and the active carrier name will now appear.


 


Known issue for Verizon 8830 World Edition & 9530 Storm, 9550 Storm 2, Tour 9630:


1.    If your Storm is not recognizing the network, make sure your phone battery is full and the radio is on.


 


2.    Sometimes the phone requires you to do "MEPPD" and "MEPP2" instead of "MEPD" and "MEP2".  If this occurs, redo unlock step above with "MEPPD" and "MEPP2"


 


 


3.    If the network not working after your phone is fully charged and unlocking process "Code Accepted".  You must change from Verizon CDMA network to GSM Global Network a few times, after change from Verizon CDMA to GSM Global 3 times is completed, leaves it on GSM Global Network.  Now it should work. (Verizon 8830 World Edition DOES NOT work in USA )


 


 


 


Removing "Activation Required" on the screen for Verizon Storm:


1.    On the main screen, press ##000000


2.    For the Mobile Directory Number, Enter your phone number in here.


Press the Menu to save the options and the phone will automatically restart.
